Wedding Invitations

Our wedding is coming up fast. I feel like we JUST got engaged but that was six months ago! Back in October it felt like we had eons to get ready and now it's May and we are a couple short weeks away from the big day. We are both so excited and we can't wait to see all of our family and friends in one place!

We knew right away that most of our trappings would be DIY and with a simple minimalist spring theme.

Since they have all reached their intended recipients, I thought I would share our invitations!

I have to admit, I was extra excited about the invitations because they're MAIL. Real live non-electronic mail! I love addressing envelopes and I get a little over-excited about the new stamp releases.

Our palette for the event is all greens and grey and white and kraft paper.

I screen printed the backs of the invitations with some cream colored leafy shapes and kept the fronts pretty simple. The little ghosty grasses and leaves along the bottom edge all line up if the invitation, directions and RSVP are laid side to side.

We printed everything on our trusty Epson R1900 and had a rubber stamp made with our leafy wreath monogram.

(I doubt the Obamas will be able to make it. :-/ )

Designing and printing the invitations was quite a production and so much fun. I loved every step of the process.

I'm hoping to share more little bits and projects from the wedding once the big day has passed and the dust has settled a little.
