For Curtis's birthday I took him on a roadtrip to Storm King Art Center in Mountaniville NY (and Mass MoCA but I'll save that for another post).
Long story short it is a 500 acre expanse of land dedicated to huge often building-sized sculptures and other outdoor art. I'll let the photos do the talking. . .

I was partial to the Goldsworthy and Calder pieces but everything was so thoughtfully curated with so much love for the space and how nature would embrace or impact the pieces.
The scale of the place is endless and overwhelming - in a good way. Photos could never do it justice. You should go. Really.
