Yesterday I stumbled upon a post about Fogo Island up in Newfoundland. I instantly fell in love. I have an ongoing dream about running away to some remote place and painting animals and hiding from the plugged in world. Fogo is a small island with a few little communities and the Fogo Island Arts Corporation. FIAC has residencies in these incredible little studios scattered around the island. I want to go and live there for three months - or six. Maybe I'll apply. Who knows. I once won a giant pumpkin by guessing its weight - I could win a residency, right?
